The latest movie starring Simbu and directed by Dharani is Osthi. This movie was to be released in the month of October with Velayudham and 7am Arivu in 'Diwali Race'. But due to the popularity of the two heroes of both the movie this movie was postponed to be released on in the month of November but due to some unavoidable reason the movie is finalized in the month of December.
Mayakkam Enna was also to be released on Diwali but due to the same reason Mayakkam Enna was then postponed to November 25. It has been successfully running in the theaters and a song "Kadhal En Kadhal" song was attracted by all young generation. In osthi "Kalasala Kalasal" and "Osthi Mamey" two songs is Expected to a hit song. The movie director Dharani has given three massive hit blockbuster family entertainer. Dharani's movie Ghilli made Ilayathalapathy Vijay a main hero in tamil cinema industry.
'Osthi' is also a remake movie of Hindi movie "Dabangg" and the movie Dabangg is mega hit movie in bollywood. This movie's music is directed by Thaman. The movie is produced by T Ramesh under Balaji Real Media Pvt Ltd banner in association with Reliance Entertainment. The heroin of the movie is Richa. She is also heroin of the movie Mayakkam Enna.
